This Fourth of July, we spent a quiet day at home. We did however throw some food on the grill so I decided to make a quick treat for Asher since he wouldn’t get the see the fireworks. Speaking of fireworks, I feel completely lame that we didn’t take him to see any or at least get him some sparklers to play with. I loved sparklers as a child and still have a scar on my shoulder to prove it. In our defense, it was 100ish degrees out and also we have a 4 month old so just hanging out at home sounded like a lot more fun. I am sure Asher would agree, right?!? I doubt it. But he doesn’t know what he is missing just yet so these fun red, white, and blue popsicles made up for it!
As you probably can see by now, I make many of the treats I give Asher myself. I am always trying to figure out a way to allow him to still be a child yet fill him up with natural and healthy ingredients. This is actually the first time he has ever had lemonade (I decided to let the kid live a little) which is one of the three ingredients in this super easy recipe.
These fun popsicles were never intended for a blog post but once I tasted one, I was glad I snapped a few pictures of these with my phone before we demolished them all. They turned out really yummy! So I thought why not spread the love and share the quick and easy way these came together. They are perfect for Fourth of July or Memorial Day with the red, white, and blue colors but I will make these again without a doubt on any random day.
The easiest popsicle recipe ever! 3 very simple ingredients and you have a fun and festive treat!
Simply fill your popsicle molds with the desired amount of blueberries and strawberries then pour in the lemonade until full. Freeze 4-5 hours and serve immediately.
So quick, easy and tasty! The perfect guilt free treat to enjoy with your little people.
