This is definitely a baby product that I wish I had known about months ago as I was a frazzled mess every time I dared to enter a store with my two littles in tow. Luckily, online grocery shopping is a thing now otherwise we probably would not have had groceries at all during the first few months of being a mom of two small kids! Before the Binxy Baby came into my life, in order to fit my groceries in the cart I wore my baby in a wrap while my toddler sat in the shopping cart. Baby wearing is a viable option for shopping with two small children, however for me it was still a stressful experience to try and keep my toddler contained in the cart, shop, and ensure my infant is positioned well inside the wrap. Now that we have the Binxy Baby, my infant can look around and enjoy the experience freeing mama up to quickly get what we need and keep his older brother from grabbing everything off the shelves! All while we still have room for our items to fit inside the cart!
The Binxy Baby is to simple to use. All you have to do is snap it onto each side of the shopping cart and secure it with the straps. Once the hammock is secure, you can place your baby inside and buckle them in using the 3-point seat belt. You can also use the included attachment strap to securely attach an infant car seat! It will fit in almost any sized cart including the monster sized ones at Costco and the smaller ones at Trader Joe’s. For Costco, simple make sure you attach it to the narrow end of the cart. The hammock is very compact so you can conveniently roll it up for easy transporting and storage.
The Binxy Baby shopping cart hammock is designed to hold up to 50 lbs of weight. I would recommend adding this to your registry or purchasing it before or soon after your baby is born so you can get lots of use out of it! That’s why I wish I had one sooner because now that my baby is getting older, I won’t be able to enjoy the luxury of using this hammock while shopping much longer and I am sad about it! Once your baby is able to roll, it is recommended to discontinue use of the hammock for safety reasons so with that said you should stop using it when your child is around 6-8 months.
With the Binxy Baby shopping cart hammock, I shop with my two little’s much more efficiently. I can fit our groceries and keep both kiddos entertained making it much easier to get in and out of the store without any major meltdowns!
