My family and I recently visited Urban Air Adventure Park here in McKinney for their grand opening for our family night out. From the minute we walked in the door, I knew we were in for an experience.
It is sometimes a challenge to find something to do that my husband and I will enjoy just as much as our small children, so I was pleasantly surprised at the amount of fun my husband and I had as we initially expected this night would be all about the kids.
Open seven days a week, Urban Air’s newest location is more than a trampoline park. The park is home to more than 10 attractions – ranging from a Sky Rider, Indoor Ropes Course, Slam Dunk Zone, Climbing Walls, Laser Tag and much more! We did every single attraction and had SO MUCH FUN!
We had the ultimate passes so we could have access to the entire park but there are several options to choose from. I highly recommend the ultimate pass so you can truly enjoy the park without restrictions. The park does require everyone to purchase their special socks for safety which I think is awesome! Once you own the socks you can bring them for every visit. I really love the fact that safety is a high priority while inside the park.
Let’s talk trampolines for a minute! Urban Air Adventure Park has a huge trampoline area for everyone to jump to their hearts desire. The trampoline park was not only monitored by staff for safety but each trampoline is blocked so that only one jumper is allowed on a trampoline at a time. I felt completely at ease knowing that my 12 month and 2 1/2 year old were safe on their very own trampolines! And of course, mommy and daddy could jump like big kids right next to them!
There is also a HUGE tube maze specifically for the tiny tots. If you are over a certain height, you are prohibited from this area. This really does make a difference in my opinion when it comes to safety as you don’t have to worry about the rowdy big kids knocking over the babies!
I was pleasantly surprised to see the full service cafe onsite. The menu offered a wide variety of options from pizza, wings, snacks, and ADULT beverages! There is a parents lounge, free wi-fi, and televisions broadcasting live sporting events. All while you can watch people fly over your head on the sky rider! It doesn’t get much better than that.
My husband is a huge basketball fan and he loves any opportunity to expose our boys to the sport. He was so excited to see the Slam Dunk zone and to be able to do it with our oldest!
Your kids will stay busy for hours on end being ACTIVE and not playing video games etc. We really can use more places like this! Urban Air Adventure Park was voted best gym in America for kids by Shape magazine and best place to take energetic kids as well as best trampoline park!
One of my favorite things about Urban Air is that it truly has something for everyone! My husband had more fun than I have seen him have in ages. And who am I kidding?! So did I!!
There is entertainment at every turn and something for every adventure seeker to enjoy. I lost count of the amount of party rooms I spotted during our visit, not to mention there were a few parties happening on opening night! And let me just say I am not talking about just kids parties! Urban Air Adventure Park would be a great place for adult parties too.
All in all, if you are looking for a fun day or night out with the family, a date night with friends, or a team building activity for the office, Urban Air Adventure Park would be the perfect place! I really can’t say enough good things about this adventure park. The new McKinney location really impressed us with their friendly staff, ample space, and endless amenities.
There are more than enough ways to get your adrenaline pumping and bring our your inner child and plenty of fun to keep your kids entertained for hours.
